Description

VORTEX STRIKE EAGLE 3-18×44 FFP EBR-7C MRAD

The Strike Eagle 3-18x44mm Riflescope was designed as a lightweight, highly versatile optic that offered more magnification than Vortex’s 1-8x24mm to extend the shooter’s effective range, but weighed less than Vortex’s 5-25x56mm for greater mobility. Equally well suited for bolt-action and gas-operated rifles alike, this fully-featured long-range capable riflescope excels at intermediate to extended range applications such as dynamic target shooting or varmint/predator hunting. The overall design of the Strike Eagle 3-18x44mm is compact, measuring in at a mere 13.3”, and weighs just 27.3 ounces to promote greater maneuverability. Like many of Vortex’s premium optics, the Strike Eagle 3-18x44mm is outfitted with an HD Optical System, which uses a combination of high quality glass and advanced lens coatings to provide an image with crisp edge-to-edge sharpness and high light transmission. To ensure accurate holdovers throughout the entire magnification range, the Strike Eagle 3-18x44mm utilizes a first focal plane reticle. The reticle itself is the EBR-7C and is available in both MOA and MRAD configurations. The EBR-7C features an ultra-fine 0.14 MOA/0.04 MRAD center dot, as well as an abundance of sub-tensions and hashmarks allowing the user to determine ranges, make holdovers/windage corrections, and accurately engage moving targets. The reticle is also illuminated for use in low light situations, and the illumination dial is integrated directly into the parallax knob for better ergonomics.

Other features of the Strike Eagle 3-18x44mm include an intuitive turret design. The elevation turret is exposed, and can be pulled up to make quick adjustments in the field, and pushed down to lock it in place. The elevation turret’s RevStop Zero System ensures a fast, reliable return to zero, and a capped windage turret helps cut down on the weight and profile of the scope. The innovative turret design is made even better with the Strike Eagle’s massive 154 MOA/45 MRAD elevation adjustment range and 62 MOA/18 MRAD windage adjustment range thanks to optimized internal components. In addition, the Strike Eagle 3018x44mm ships with included accessories: tethered lens covers, a throw lever, a lens cloth, a CR2032 battery, a 2mm custom tool, a 3” sunshade and a RevStop Zero Ring.

Using the Riflescope

Reticle Focus

The Strike Eagle scope uses a fast focus eyepiece designed to quickly and easily adjust the focus on the riflescope’s reticle.

1. Look through the riflescope at a blank white wall, or up at the sky.

2. Turn the eyepiece fully outward (counterclockwise).

3. Slowly turn the eyepiece focus knob inward until the reticle image is as crisp as possible.

Parallax Adjustment

This adjustment dial is marked with approximate yardages to aid in initial setting and should be matched to the target’s distance. Final focus setting should be checked by moving your head back and forth slightly while looking through the scope and watching for any shift of the reticle on the target (parallax). If shift is observed, the dial should be adjusted slightly until shift is removed.

Turret Adjustments

To make turret adjustments:

1. Pull the Locking Turret dial up/out to disengage the lock.

2. Up/down for elevation adjustments; left/right for windage adjustments.

3. Push the Locking Turret dial down/in to return to the locked position.

1. Remove the turret cap and gently pull the turret dial off the turret post, being careful not to rotate the post.

2. Place the zero stop ring over turret post. Push the ring down then rotate the ring clockwise until it stops.

3. Reinstall the turret dial, lining up the “0” mark with indexing line on the scope body.

4. Replace and tighten the Elevation Turret cap.
